TMS to Add Fall (Sideline) Cheerleading This Fall

Fall (Sideline) Cheerleading will be a new activity for Trimpe Middle School students beginning with this fall’s football season. This will add another opportunity to TMS students to participate in an extracurricular activity. Fall (Sideline) cheerleading takes place during the middle school football season and consists of sideline cheerleading during football games.
Since this is a new position, the coaching position for Fall (Sideline) cheerleading will be posted and applications will be accepted in the next week. Once a coach has been approved by the Board of Education, tryouts dates and times will be determined and posted for all students who are interested in trying out for Fall cheerleading.
Once tryouts have been conducted and the fall cheerleading squad has been selected, the squad will have about two weeks for practice prior to the first home middle school football game on Saturday, September 17, 2022 vs. Triad.

For more information, please read the entire press release here.

TMS Class Schedule Update

Starting on July 28th, student schedules may become visible in PowerSchool.

Please note that student schedules are not finalized and we will continue to make changes. Once schedules are finished, we will send a SchoolMessenger out to alert students and parents.

MENTAL HEALTH HOTLINE

Call4Calm is a support text line in Illinois for residents that are experiencing stress and mental health issues related to Covid-19. Individuals who would like to speak with a mental health professional can text "TALK" to 5-5-2-0-2-0, or for Spanish, "HABLAR" to the same number.

Call4Calm is FREE to use and individuals will remain anonymous. Once a resident sends a text to the hotline, within 24 hours, they will receive a call from a counselor employee by a local community health center to provide support.

Individuals can also text key words such as "unemployment" or "food" or "shelter" to the same number (5-5-2-0-2-0) and will receive information on how to navigate and access supports and services.
